Getting from Cascais to Lisbon is very easy. You can take a 30-minute cab ride (€80) or a 40-minute train ride that leaves from Lisbon’s main station every 10-20 minutes and only costs a few euros.
Hotels
While we are providing recommendations, we have chosen Cascais partially due to its small size and abundance of wonderful accommodations. Wherever you choose to stay, you won’t be far from any activity. Transportation on Saturday will make pick-ups at Albatroz Hotel and Penha Longa.

1. Albatroz Hotel (€215 – €300 / night) – We will be here on Thursday and Friday night.
Centrally located, classic 5-star hotel with sea views. The on-site restaurant is highly recommended by our planner. Rooms available to book now, 6 rooms left 1/10/2023.

2. Penha Longha (€315 – €1,200 / night) – We will be staying here Saturday and Sunday night. A Ritz-Carlton Hotel located in Sintra, it is a 15-minute drive from the Cascais town center. Rooms available to book now.

3. Miragem (€250 – €370 / night) – A large hotel with all the amenities, a 5-minute drive from the Cascais center. Two pools, ocean views, and dozens of 5-star reviews.
Available to book now.

Conceito – recommended by our planner, Petra.

Activities
Walking around town might be enough for some after exploring Lisbon, but if you’re in the mood for adventure, fear not — there’s plenty to do & see!

Boca do Inferno – Scenic cliffs that are likely a nice walk from your accommodation. Please be careful! Photo by Natalie.
Visit the beach – Praia de Rainha (in Cascais) and Praia do Guincho (15 minutes from Cascais) are scenic beaches that many travel to from Lisbon to visit.

Marechal Carmona Park – In case you weren’t a good friend, Natalie considers herself a novice birder. At this park (open 8:30am – 8pm daily), you can sight some new-to-you species and relax in the shade. Please text all sighting photos to Natalie to claim credit.
Cabo da Roca – A 25-minute drive from Cascais, this cliffside boasts the best sunsets in Portugal. Highly Insta-worthy 🙂
